Speech Pathology

Headstart Speech Pathologists assess, create client-centered goals and use evidence-based therapies to support people of all ages communicate in the following areas:

  • Language – supporting people to understand and use words, sentences, stories and narratives.  
  • Speech/Articulation – supporting people to make and use sounds in words. 
  • Literacy – supporting people to build skills needed to read and write.  
  • Social communication – supporting people to interact and communicate with others.  
  • Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) – supporting people to communicate in alternative ways (e.g. proloquo2go, PODD, PECS etc.). 
  • Fluency/Stuttering – supporting people to speak fluently. 
  • Autism Spectrum Disorder – supporting people with their communication during everyday living tasks.
