Speech Pathology
Headstart Speech Pathologists assess, create client-centered goals and use evidence-based therapies to support people of all ages communicate in the following areas:
- Language – supporting people to understand and use words, sentences, stories and narratives.
- Speech/Articulation – supporting people to make and use sounds in words.
- Literacy – supporting people to build skills needed to read and write.
- Social communication – supporting people to interact and communicate with others.
- Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) – supporting people to communicate in alternative ways (e.g. proloquo2go, PODD, PECS etc.).
- Fluency/Stuttering – supporting people to speak fluently.
- Autism Spectrum Disorder – supporting people with their communication during everyday living tasks.
